Saturday
Hi, guys!
Only Leon and myself out on board today, just taking it easy.
We left at 4.00am to catch the last of the ebb tide and to get back nice and early. We managed to get a few small ‘hounds.’
We tried a bass mark for the flood but that nasty old easterly wind got stronger so the fish just switched off.
I managed a couple of bass about 4lb on peeler crab and a couple more hounds.
It was nice to get my rods out but the easterly wind does put the mockers on the fishing.

Sunday
Charlies crew were supposed to be out today but cancelled because they could not get enough people together.
If you are a party that have booked up and you find yourself short of rods then please let me know. I can then advertise it by putting it on the web site and try to get you some individual rods.

On Saturday the 10th of July individuals or whole parties are welcome to experience a great days fishing which once again is a 4.00am start. It’s £35 each or £280 for up to 8 people. The cost of the bait is not included.

"The Lazy Days Of Summer"
What can you expect to catch? Well, if you’ve been reading the recent blogs you’ll know that we have been catching cod in quite reasonable weights plus both skate and smoothounds aplenty.
Cheers

Well guys, I had a look at the weather for today and it was a bit touch and go.
Some of the weather stations were giving the wind at 20mph Northerly all day but with no gusts unlike Saturday.
I asked Adrian and his crew to be there for a 7.00am start.
When I got up at 5.00am I switched on the computer and had a look at the weather, it was blowing Northerly at 28mph with gusts. Not good.
We left Rochester and headed out to our mark. The steam out was not too bad.
We got anchored up and for the first couple of hours it was rolling a bit but it was fishable. We only fished the ebb tide, it being ‘Fathers Day,’ and we needed to get back.
It was good fishing though with plenty of ‘hounds,’ no big ones, all between 5lb and 10lb. Neville led the way with 7 but who dropped a couple, and Roy with 5 and he too lost a couple.
Well done to Mike, who caught his first couple of ‘hounds.’
See you guys again on Tuesday evening.
All the best

As of today the ‘Dentex’ has moved to Rochester, so all fishing trip boardings will be from Rochester Pier.
The move to Rochester is due to the high cost of keeping the boat in Chatham
It’s only an extra 15 minutes more steaming but I would rather give you guys an extra 1/2 hour to make up the time.
When you arrive you can park anywhere along Rochester Esplanade just remember to get a ticket.
Rochester Pier is in front of Rochester Castle so you can’t miss us. If you’ re not sure please give me a call or email me and I can give you directions.
All the best,
Skipper Steve
