Hi guys
Sorry it’s been so long getting the reports and photos on. But I’m back online now.
Grahams crew should have been out today but they cancelled.
After trying to get a crew together all week I couldnt get enough. I decided to have a day out myself and 3 mates. I had a chat with Roy who fishes off his own boat out of Lower Halstow and who sometimes crews for me. We opted for a 4.00am start and got underway. After an hours steam we dropped the anchor.
As soon as the baits went down Phil got a cod of 9 1/2lb then another of 6 1/2lb so it was a good start. I then had a skate of 7lb and we had a couple more codling. The tide stopped out so we had a move and got ready for the flood tide. As soon as the tide started the cods just kept coming on board between 5lb and 8lb. It was just one of those days.
Thanks for a great day lads.
All the best

I changed our regular Thursday evening trip this week to Tuesday.
Looked at the weather at work and it was like glass out there.
So, I rang the guys and told them to be at the Marina sharp for 5.00pm.
We left the Marina and I took them out into the Thames which we don’t normally do on these short trips. But the tide and weather were in our favour.
After a 50 minute steam which was good going for the distance we acheived. We arrived and first cast out was a skate of 6lb then another of the same weight. What a start but as the tide got stronger we started to get lots of big whitings and some nice dabs.
Species caught today were skate/dogs/whitings/dabs/pouts.
A very good night out but no cods well worth going out there.
All the best,

Charlie’s crew back onboard today so, away at 7am ready for a days fishing.
We decided to stay in the river for a couple of hours to start with to catch the last of the flood tide. I got the anchor down and yes, the heavens opened. It was that bad you could not see over100 yards.
We caught a few dabs and whitings then high tide came and the wind dropped slightly. So up with the anchor and out into the Thames to try and nick a few hours out there.
We arrived and it was a bit choppy but fished okay. We managed to get a few cod up to 5lb and some whitings/dogs. Around 1.00pm it got to be rather lumpy. We were getting waves broadside which was too uncomfortable so we headed back into the river for some protection.
We had an hour in the river and first cast was a cod of 5lb. I could not belive it. “Oh well, never mind aye.”
Not a bad day dogging the weather. Atl east we got some cod in the end.
Have a good Christmas lads – see you all next year.
All the best,
Skipper Steve

Late start today. Had the guys on from Luton in Bedfordshire, so a 7am start. 6am being a bit too early for them.
After a nice full english breakfast all round we set off at 9am staying in the Medway for the day.
Good job we did the wind was still blowing and it got stonger into the afternoon.
No cods today only a dozen dabs and loads of whitings still plenty of fish.
2pm soon came around and it was time to head back in.
Have a good Xmas lads hope to see you in the New Year.
All the best,
Skipper Steve
