Tuesday Evening Fishing – 13-10-09

Tuesday 13th October
I changed the evening trip this week to Tuesday. A flat, calm water absolutley perfect for an evening out.
Adrian brought along the sausages and bacon as he usually does and I started cooking while everyone was fishing.
A really good night with plenty of nice sized whiting coming on board all night long until the tide eased back. After catching plenty of fish a nd all of us stuffed with bacon and sausage rolls it was time to make our way home.
There are still places left on these evening trips just give me a call and I can put your name down.

At £20 a head it’s a real deal.

All the best, Skipper Steve

Fishing Trip For (Saturday) 10-10-09

Saturday 10th October
A nice early start. We left at 5am so we could get all the ebb tide in.
We anchored up and got straight into the fishing, however, we got dogfish all morning when what we were really after were cod. So, up with the anchor and we tried another spot 2 miles away and we got more dogfish and whitings.
Low water came so we got set up for the flood on another chosen spot. No dogs here but we got quite a few codling.
So, all in all a very busy day. Best bait today was squid.
All the best,

Skipper Steve

Sunday Fishing Report (04-10)

What a change in the weather. They got it about right with the wind dying down as the day progressed.  So, away at 7am with some lads from Romford, Essex.

We had plenty of dogs and whitings but they just wouldnt leave the baits alone for the cod to find. I moved around a few times, trying to get these lads some cod, but we still couldnt get past the other fish.
A nice bit of colour out there today which we havent seen for a while so things are looking good.
Back out next week with hopefully good weather and a few fish.
Thanks for a great day guys nice to meet you all.
All the best,

Skipper Steve

Saturday Fishing Report (03-10)

What a poxy day out. We thought we might beat the weather so we had an early start of 5am.
We steamed outside into the Thames hoping to get a few hours out there before the weather got too bad. But I was wrong. It came early with the wind picking up all the time. So, up with the anchor and straight back into the Medway for a bit of shelter.
We managed a few fish dogs/whiting and lonley codling. But it got too uncomfortable so we headed for home.
Sorry for a poxy day out lads hopefully it will be better on the next one.
All the best,

Skipper Steve

I don’t normally do a report on the evening trips but I’ll start to keep you posted.
The evening trip is a great way to get out of the house for few hours; catch a few fish, have a bacon roll and a laugh.
This time of year the fishing is good with plenty of dogs/whiting and maybee a few codling . Enough fish to keep you busy for the evening.

Went out this evening and caught plenty of dogs and whiting but no codling. The weather was great, with a nice, flat,  calm river and not a ripple on the water.
We only fish the Medway because travelling out into the Thames cuts down on fishing time.

There are always spaces on these evening trips.

If you fancy going, its usually Thursday nights but always call just to make sure. The cost is £20 per person, excluding the cost of bait. We depart at 5.30pm and return at10.00pm.
All the best,

Skipper Steve
