Sunday 25th October – Fishing Experience

Sunday 25th October

We were away at 6.ooam this morning. Not a nice day but we managed to get outside for the ebb tide back to where we fished yesterday. Its spot on what they say, “No two fishing days are the same.”

With only a couple of cod and plenty of whiting it got to low water and with the waves starting to build it was time to run. Back in the shelter of the Medway catching dogs, dabs and whiting.

Still a good day out.

I’m off now to Cornwall for a weeks holiday so no fishing for a week.

The very best to you all. Skipper Steve

Saturday 24th October – Fishing Experience

Saturday 24th October

Well guys, after looking at this weekends forecast it was touch and go if we were going to get outside.

The winds looking like SE 15mph backing SW20mph.

So I decided to leave at 6.00am so that I could get in all of the ebb tide.

We stuck our noses through Garrison Point and it was flat calm.

We got fishing straight away before it started to blow up. As soon as we anchored we had three cod straight away between 3lb and 8lb. It was a good start.

We started to lose the tide so we upped anchor and moved to deeper water to get a bit more tide.

What a good move, plenty of cod 4lb to 9lb. We managed four cod between 8lb and 9lb so not bad going.

As the tide started to flood the wind picked up and it got a bit snotty so we headed back in.

Plenty of cod and chips tonight lads. See you on the next one.

All the best, Skipper Steve

Thursday 22nd October Fishing Experience

Another lovely evening. All the lads tonight from Plumbfix where I work.

We went straight up to Thames Port tonight where there were plenty of dogs and whiting to keep us busy for a few hours. After we each had a couple of bacon rolls the governor, Andy, was in the lead and he’s never really fished before but was showing us what to do.

His boy, Jordan, was catching a few as well so plenty of banter as you can imagine.

The time soon passed and it was time to head back in.

All the best, Skipper Steve
