Saturday 17th October
Really blowy today but this time of year we can stay in the River Medway with plenty of shelter.
Ian brought his family down from Luton today.  After they had some breakfast we got away for 8am.
Not long out and we were fishing. First cast and Ian christened his new rod with a cod of about 4lb. A really great start to the day.
Plenty of whitings coming up but the weed became a bit of a problem so i decided to make a move.
We dropped anchor again and were straight into dogs & whitings. Eventually a couple of more cods came on board. All in all it was a nice day out. Its nice to know that if we can’t get out in the Thames Estuary we can stay inside and still get in a good days fishing.
