Sunday 13th December
Chris and his crew out today.
We had an 8.00am start today. I got down there at 7.30am and it was blowing 25knots NE with an ebb tide. Not very nice. Once they had turned up and said to Chris if you don’t fancy it don’t worry we’ll book for another day or we can just fish the Medway. They said no, it’s fine, let’s have a play in the river.
We got anchored and waited for the ebb to start running. It got going and Duncan Monk had a lovely bite on his uptider. His rod was bent right over and it was nodding so we knew it was a good one. It came to the surface and I netted it for him.
I put it on the scales and it went to 18 1/2lb what a monster for the river Meday.
We had a few more codlings and whitings but that made our day well worth going. Good choice lads.
Check out the photo in our ‘Gallery‘ guys. Or ‘catch’ it below.
Well done guys. See you on the next one though it will take some beating.
All the best
Skipper Steve
