A Great Day's Fishing Starts Here!

    A great day's fishing starts very early in the morning with your arrival at Rochester Pier, opposite Rochester Castle. We then board the Dentex, a fine Offshore 105 fishing boat of 10.5 metres, with a 400hp Scania engine that is capable of a good 25 knots. This will enable a speedy arrival to your chosen fishing site. Our maximum permitted sailing distance is 60 miles and rest assured we are a member of the Maritime & Coastguard Agency.

   After our "safety at sea" briefing we head off down the Medway to the fishing grounds. Be it in the local Medway, the Swale, the Thames Estuary, or even the North Sea. When we get to the site, a strong cuppa is supplied (toilet is available) while you set up your equipment then settle down in anticipation of the great day's fishing ahead.

What will we catch?

   Type of Fishing: uptide/downtide for cod, skate, smoothound, tope, bass and whiting.

 Who knows? But with some skill, fine weather, a little bit of luck and with guidance from Andy or Steve, it could produce some fine thornback skate, or bass. A good chance of dabs, whiting, and lesser spotted dog fish. Further out in the Thames estuary some of the excellent tope (european shark) and cod may be caught.

   Whatever  fish you catch, after a great day's fishing, there's  a pleasant trip back up the Medway to Rochester Pier. Ending what we hope will be a memorable day for all our guests and we look forward to taking you out fishing again.
