A Great Day's Fishing Starts Here!
A great day's fishing starts very early in the morning with your arrival at Chatham Maritime, where there is ample parking for our guests (it also has 24hr river access via lock gates), and then board Dentex, a fine Offshore 105 fishing boat, of 10.5 metres, with a 400hp engine capable of a good 25 knots that will ensure a speedy arrival at your chosen fishing site.
After our "safety at sea" briefing we head off down the Medway to the fishing grounds, be it in the local Medway, the Swale, the Thames, the Estuary, or even the North Sea.When we get to the site a strong cuppa is supplied while you set up your equipment, then settle down in anticipation for the day's fishing ahead.
What will we catch?
Who knows? Skill, the weather and a little bit of luck, with guidance from Andy and Steve, could produce some fine thornback skate, or bass. A good chance of dabs, whiting, and lesser spotted dog fish. Further out in the Thames estuary some of the excellent tope (european shark) and cod may be caught.
Whatever fish is caught, after a great day's fishing , a pleasant trip back up the Medway to Chatham will end what we hope will be a memorable day for all our guests, and we look forward to taking you fishing again.
